I am one of the previous employees of the www.800notes.com-I am letting the common public know about my first hand experience at the company.I was hired as a fresher and right on the very first day I was told how the whole scam works.The company head- Julia Forte makes it a point that the strategy is very well drilled in every executives head.
Basically they would encourage people to come and write complaints about various phone numbers and tele callers.Now every one registering on the website is required to put in the details of the email.Ones a complaint comes in-they would let it lie on the website just like that and see if any more people are writing against the number.If not-then one of the team members of the 800notes.com would put up some false comments and posts about the number.This ways they would build up a lot of complaints against one number.
Ones sufficient complaints were collected,we were asked to get in touch with these numbers/phone callers personally make them aware of what has been posted about the numbers and against their companies.The job was basically to emphasize about the repercussions of the number staying there online.We would build up pressure on them to get these numbers removed,scared them with all possible explanations.And to remove the posts the company would ask them to pay hefty amounts ranging from 500 to 2000 USD.The amount was supposed to be transferred by means that could not be clearly tracked-in false bank accounts,direct transfers in employee names!!!
Those who do not relent to their pressure tactics-well the magnitude of the false attack was increased on them-Julia Forte supervised this department herself-she is very unethical and has simply no moral values.

This is an obvious slam by someone who has been spamming your telephone with unsolicited calls, and they are pissed that people are alerted to their treachery.
800notes has been a lot of help in verifying the scum phone numbers and I appreciate it. You wouldn't have your number on there if you didn't call someone and disturb their day, or night.

If you are a telemarketer calling my number, violating the DO Not Call List, and then you are made to pay for what you have done, I welcome that. | Hmmmmm. www.800notes.com either no longer exists or is having temporary problems. It was useful in finding out who the nuisance numbers belong to. I can still check out numbers on "callercomplaints" but they don't seem to have the traffic 800 had. Back on the 800 site, any time I entered the name NOMOROBO, my comment had to be "monitored" and never was posted. I could tell they didn't want people to know how to stop a call and now I see why. |

If anyone is surprised that they could come under attack or that they have people who are just as immoral as the criminals posted about isn't at all surprising nor relevant,?it is a legal matter and or personal matter, who is actually being hurt by this person/people's attacks are not the scammers but the victims again |

| I am not surprised to see that I am not the only person attempting to make a legitimate telemarketer complaint on the BS nano spot-800notes. I was attacked immediately by the "moderator" with caps in his text about how the "do not call list" was not a call blocker. I had never mentioned this nor would I ever expect that yet this site will treat you like crap and dare not stand up for yourself. Your text answers will be deleted and the nano moderator will leave lies up rather than trying to defend himself with an educated answer. Your questions will be ignored as nano moderator discredits you by allowing other members to lie about content in your text. Liars text will be there but any response you may have will be deleted because they can't deal with the truth and will not deal with truths. This has to be the most fun I have had watching these little twits pretend their nano spot actually makes any difference on this earth for what it claims it's intentions are. 800notes is possibly my worst experience ever of being attacked by mentally challenged trolls. I can only surmise the 800notes is really a troll training center who's purpose is to make reporting illegal telemarketing as uncomfortable as they possibly can driving legit complaints to relevant sites. This site with it's practices can only be on the way out. There is no other option for them. |

This is additional information for “800notes troll training site”.
You have mostly hit the nail on the head. I’ve been able to some extent use the individual phone number threads, but the 800Notes forum is just horrible.
One point I would like to make, is that newcomers are not directly attacked by a 800notes moderator. The problem is with “Tamianth” who trolls behind the scenes in a private forum called “800Auxillary”. It’s unknown if this Tamianth is also involved with 800Notes administration, but it’s a good bet. Mostly from 800Auxillary,Tamianth directs this gang of cyberbullys- CelticDragon, BigA, RustyMcNuggets, and some others to attack any comments their pinheads happen to come across, and cant understand, or happen not to agree with. Tamianth, and its gang will steal, register, and use others usernames, avatars, and what ever else their immature little minds can latch on to in order to carry out its cyber bullying tactics. Everyone has an opinion, but it does not need be gang launched at every comment. Don’t know how many times an ordinary person gets jumped on, because one of the ever present troll jerks gets their nasty panties in a twist. Then it spreads to 800Auxillary where knee jerk responses reach a peak, and gang voting up on their own ridiculous 800Notes posts further alienates newcomers. Forbid newcomers, or anyone who has left 800Auxillary ever tell these slime balls where to shove it, and quickly become relegated to a permanent 800notes “dog pile on em” status.

I use 800notes.com on regular basis and I like it. I have a small business and I have to answer all phone calls. Some of them drop to no fault of mine or the caller's, so I have to know whether to call them back or not. 800notes.com has become my number one website to go for checking if a number that called me is a scam, telemarketer or a real customer that is trying to reach me. When I research the phone number in question and see that first of all it is there with comments, comments have factual info that has a pattern (situations repeat) and especially if the same happened to me as already described in other complaints, I know not to call back, that I am not losing customers and that I can safely block this number. I also report telemarketers and spam calls if I have time and when I am sure they deserve it. If I can help fight those who abuse the phone system, I will. 800notes.com allows me to do that.
As to those who claim this business is listing innocent peoples' phone numbers and later ask them to be paid to remove them. Did you consider that the phone numbers of innocent people were listed by real people with real complaints? This is easy to do. It is called spoofing. It happened to me one day after my hubby told off a telemarketer, (manly language involved). Later that day our phone is ringing off the hook and people are asking why we are calling them, when we didn't. Our phone number has been spoofed by one of these scammers, which means the scammer is calling, but our phone number is showing up on caller ID. Thank God it didn't go on very long, or my phone number would have been on 800notes.com too, and I would not blame them. But I would go and post my notes explaining what happened and that my number is legit.
And did you consider that scammers can also pose as 800notes.com representative, abuse 800notes.com system, post your number with complaints and then call you to extort money? It is gone with Google all the time, it goes like this, "Hi, I work for Google to make sure your website is SEOed to the latest standards. I can have you on first page of Google search for your key words. If you sign up right this second it will cost you only $Number, real good deal." My reply is, "Sorry we are already on first page and you don't work for Google, you are a trick people into thinking that. Google doesn't call business to offer these services." It is a big world out there with lots of bad guys, but I don't see why we should take it out on 800notes.com they are helping us to fight back. They may need to improve their system, so it can not be abused, but I wish they go on. |
